SCAVENGE offers ICT Training on “Energy Efficiency and Harvesting in Mobile Networks”
Between 29th May and 2nd June 2017, the SCAVENGE project is running a training course “School 2 - Energy Efficiency and Harvesting in Mobile Networks”, at the University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow (UK).
The 5-day training course gives participants knowledge on energy efficiency in mobile networks, post-carbon energy scenarios, energy & power modelling, and topics related to energy harvesting communications. Training professionals include European Researchers and University Professors, experts on sustainability and energy efficiency in mobile networks.
This is the second training activity organised by SCAVENGE, part of a total 6 network-wide training events across Europe. Each training course focuses on specific topics related to sustainable design, protocols, architectures and algorithms for next-generation 5G cellular networks.
The course also features information on the goal of SCAVENGE to create a training network for early-stage researchers who will contribute to the design and implementation of eco-friendly and sustainable next-generation 5G networks and become leaders in the related scientific, technological, and industrial initiatives.
