ICTFOOTPRINT.eu at Spring Knowledge Society Forum meeting

ICTFOOTPRINT.eu went to Spring Knowledge Society Forum meeting, in Rennes (France) on 27-29 April to discuss "Transitioning cities" topics.

EUROCITIES, partner of ICTFOOTPRINT.eu introduced the project to a new audience. It was a great opportunity to be in touch with several European public administrators who want to tackle the digital transformation in their cities.

Attendees explored potential solutions to cities' quest for digital transformation along with several public administrators, local and municipal authoroties, some of them signatories of the Green Digital Charter. This callenging exercise was based on a political roundtable debate on "Cities" role in digital economy and a discussion about how to create local value, create new jobs and unlock new sources of growth,

Data management, cyber security and standards are examples of some specifics topics that were discussed, along with digital strategies and governance models for cities.
