General Description of the Scheme
The service being offered is a light certification scheme. This is a simplified certification process, which is conducted entirely online and via teleconference without an in-house audit, with the intention of reducing both the time necessary and the associated costs. The process entails the provision of a self-assessment questionnaire and relevant documentation, with (at least) one formal video conference call before successful issue of the certificate.
Organisations Involved
- ICIM S.p.A., an independent certification authority established in Milan in 1988 and operational in several standardisation fields including energy & environment is the organisation responsible for issuing the certification.
- Trust-IT Services is responsible for the online workflow provided via the EU-funded ICT.FOOTPRINT.eu web platform and acts as the data controller. For the terms of processing of your data please refer to the privacy policy of www.ictfootprint.eu.
- WeForest provides partial compensation for CO2 emissions via a contractual agreement with Trust-IT Services, through which 1 ton of CO2e and 5 trees are associated to each certificate issued.
Terms of Pricing and Payment
The price of the certificate ranges from 1,000 to 3,000 Euros and is calculated directly during the online process based on the following criteria of the oganisation: the number of employees; ICT equipment possessed (laptop or desktop computers, tablets) and number of Data Processing Units (DPU).
The agreed amount is to be paid via an invoice issued by Trust-IT Services.
